Recent Arrivals at my house

  • A new HP printer. It cost me $5 to legally dispose of the old printer, which seems insane to me. How many people are going to drive to SODO and pay $5 to unload a printer? My first reaction was to say, "On second thought, no thanks" and then walk right back out onto the street and dump it on the pavement. Who sets up these stupid, environmentally unfriendly incentive systems? Because I will bet you less than 5% of personal printers gets disposed of properly. The free E-Cycle program is great, but it only covers TVs and computers.

  • Some sweet old Sabbath, including Master of Reality.

  • A brick of comix heroin, the much-anticipated payback for our BEASTS! writing: 10 collected volumes of Peanuts, from 1950 to 1968 complete (e.g.), plus a whomping-big Krazy Kat book.

  • Courtesy of Jill Swag-Bringer, a little shaker of naturally cinnamon flavored cane sugar--which has led to some tasty cinnamon toast around here.

  • A comp copy (how nice!) of Essentially Odd
