Apropos of nothing, this came up today when we were talking about the new MetalStorm iOS app. This was one of my favorite movies in eighth grade—and I saw it in the theater and statted up some of the dudes in Gamma World:

The dark but hilariously, DeLillo-ously dense The Ask. I saw Sam Lipsyte at Hugo House, and that (gladly) inspired me to go read some of his stuff.
The Ladies of Grace Adieu and Other Stories, for $1 at a library book sale in Echo Park. I had no idea I could spend some more time in the Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell world!
